Corsair gaming K55 backlit keyboard
/My mission was to find a multicolored, backlit keyboard that wasn't over $100. I found the Corsair K55 for a good price online, so it seemed like a perfect match. I love the ease at which you can change colors, it looks great and I like how responsive the keys feel while typing. I'm sure the functions keys on the far left will come in handy at some point (I haven't mapped them yet), but that is where the small problem comes in. I often hit the "G6" key when trying to hit "CTRL" to copy-and-paste. It takes some getting used to and I still occasionally do it...which drives me a little crazy. Would I buy this keyboard again? Yes, I definitely would, but if they had a version without the function keys on the far left, I would get that one instead. For me, being able to quickly cut-and-paste (without hitting G6) is more important than programmable function keys. Other people may not have this issue or may really want the programmable function keys. The location of the function keys is a small negative, but in no way would I let it deter you from buying the keyboard. It is just something to consider, especially if you are comparing this keyboard to something else.
Update: I set G6 to be copy and G5 to be paste, which has helped. If I accidentally hit G6, I know hitting G5 will be a quick option. I tried to set/program G6 to be ctrl, but unfortunately that wasn't possible.
